The glowing peaks stand in dramatic contrast to the dark volcanic foreground and cool, cloud-filled sky.

The wide composition draws the eye through the textured dunes toward the mountain ridge beyond. Bands of light and shadow reveal Vestrahorn’s sculptural form, while the grasses and rippled sand add depth, movement, and a strong sense of place.

The color version emphasizes the warm sunset light, muted blue-gray sky, and golden grasses.
